Swimming lessons

Chloe's certificate end of the swim term

The only picture I have of Chloe's swim class - the group shot, given by the school

Chloe asked about Coach Sam again today. Coach Sam is Chloe's swim instructor at Marsden Swim School (Turf City). We have been going since the last term together with Uncle Jeff and Emma. I don't have any pictures or videos of Chloe swimming as I am the one in the water with her.
I must say that her confidence in the water has improved over the last few weeks - jumping into the water unassisted, swimming under water with her eyes open and being able to blow bubbles. My only gripe about the whole swimming class is the coach's singing, but Chloe doesn't seem to care. She enjoys the whole class and even sings along sometimes!

Progress report at Zesty

What the teachers say have to say....

The cheery cover of the report with pictures of Chloe at school

Chloe's artwork and painting

Received Chloe's progress report and artwork from school earlier this week.
I'm impressed! =)

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is all about giving, sharing and spending time with family and friends.
That is what we did over the last 2 days.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Friends at church

Every Sunday we follow Grandma and Grandpa to Church.
As the girls are still too young to sit still and quietly throughout mass, we always sit in the 'cry room' and the girls socialise with the other kids there.
Here is a picture of Chloe and her friends after the mass.

Enjoying one of her favourite past times

"Love this climbing"

The accomplished smile: Getting to the top of the stairs
That's right, climbing up the stairs at Grandma's house is one of Chelsey's favourite past times. Here are some pictures of her in action.

Hi5 again

Waiting patiently for the show to begin

Chloe watching intensely

Hi5 dancing and singing

Yesterday I took half day leave so that I could bring the girls down to Takashimaya to watch the Hi5 performance. We arrived 45min before the show but there was already a long line snaking past Crystal Jade. One lady was nice enough to tell me not to waste my time queuing as I will not able to get a good seat. Hence I decided to go upstairs where we can have some 'circus' seats instead.

The performance is nothing like the show we attended a couple of months ago. Chloe was also less enthusiastic about it, maybe its becoz it was so crowded and she couldn't hear the music clearly. I guess it would have made a big difference if she was right up in front of the stage.

In the end we left to do Christmas shopping instead.

Papa's song

Papa recent got himself a new mobile phone and he downloaded music videos of some of his favourite tunes, one of them is Paparazzi by Lady Gaga. Chloe simply loves watching video (I dunno why?!!), listening to the song and chant out Paparazzi during the chorus.
Now she claims that this song is Papa's song.

Here is the link of the video for those who have not watched the video before.

Chloe can speak Mandarin!

One of the key benefits of enrolling Chloe to school early is that she is exposed to the Chinese language. Now she can count from 1 to 10 in Mandarin and even sing some Chinese songs, except per pronunciation is not very clear, but it is a start! =)

Chelsey @ 11 mths!

"Hmm...what shall I do now?"

"Look at me!"

Chelsey will be turning exactly 11 months tomorrow.
Our little Chewy has been progressing very well with regards to her motor skills. She can readily clap her hands, wave good bye and play peek-a-boo!
Her top 3 favourite things she loves now are:
  1. Climbing up Grandma's stairs
  2. Eating fruits especially passion fruit, mangoes and grapes
  3. Cruising around the sofa, railings or rather anything

Little 'Dracula' - part 2

Can you see her teeth?!

Finally got a good picture of Chelsey and her 'Dracula' teeth. Now you know what I mean??!!

Photo taking: Part 2

Chelsey feeling frustrated that she is the only one taking pictures

Chelsey smiling happily with the empty chair next to her

One of the nicer pictures, after bribing Chloe

Tried again to take pictures of the 2 girls. This time was a little bit more successful coz I bribed Chloe with chocolates! If not, she preferred to dance around the house with her new skirt!

taking pictures

The best shot of the day, but both not smiling at the camera, and not very sharp. Sigh.

Finally got Chelsey smiling but Chloe is not looking at the camera... again!

I have decided to make my own Christmas cards this year. Of coz the plan is to have Chloe and Chelsey in it. Hence I dressed them up in pretty dresses and got them to hold some Christmas tree ornaments. My attempt failed terribly, they were either not looking at the camera or just too engrossed playing with the bell or angel.
Looks like I need to try again this week. Haiz.

Bedtime reading

Reading the book of the week
Posing with the book: Bedtime Blessings for Girls

Having instilled reading to Chloe since she was a baby, she enjoys it very much. She also pretends to read very often, looking at pictures and making up along the way.
Here is a video of her reading and reciting in her own interpretation. Don't strain your ears, I too, can't decipher what she is talking about.

Supermarketing

Trolley ride @ Fairprice Finest

Now that Chelsey is more responsive, she fights to sit in the trolley with her sister. Hence we upgraded Chloe to sit in the "bigger" space. Thankfully Chloe doesn't complain when we pile up our shopping with her.

Little hamster

The hamster in action

Chelsey loves to keep food in her mouth, just like a hamster!

This hamster habit has been around for a couple of weeks now and she is taking longer to finish her food. Actually I'm guilty of this when I was little to0 (haha!) so I give her some time to do it but after a while when my patience runs thin, I'll start to poke her cheeks. Eventually, she will swallow the food.

Chloe is 25mths and Chelsey is 10mths!!

Striking a pose

Another failed attempt to show her 'Dracula' teeth

Time really flies. I remember this time round last year I was heavily pregnant with Chelsey, waddling around doing early Christmas shopping and hoping that she will be a Christmas baby, but it was not meant to be. My little baby is 10mths now and our Little Miss Naughty is 25mths!

Anyho, here are some pictures taken today before they had their morning bath.

Another trip to the zoo

Chloe posing with the hungry goats

Even Papa wanted to feed the goats!

Chelsey feeding the goats
Chloe and Alexis holding hands and waiting to enter the zoo

Couple of weekends ago, we went to the zoo with Alexis. The girls had a blast and the highlight of this trip was feeding the goats at the kids area. Even Chelsey wanted to feed the goats!!
p/s: it is $2 per pail of goat food - leaves and vegetables

Playing dress up

Chelsey the Little Angel
Chloe the Fairy Stawberry - a costume she chose herself

One weekend, I decided to dress the girls up again. Maybe its because I feel kinda bad for not bring Chelsey along for the trick-0-treating couple of weeks ago, coz of the bad weather. If she would have gone, she would be a little Angel! Yup, wearing the same outfit Chloe wore last year. Super cute!!

Fish Eye!

Munching the fish eye

Digging for the fish eye

The fish eye - Chloe's favourite part of the fish. She always asks for it and sometimes 2 is just not enough for her and she will start digging for more even though we tell her that the fish only has 2 eyes!
By the way, don't ask me how she started to like this part of the fish, I personally do not know. I guess it just appealed to her.

A new school next year

Goodbye Zesty Spot...Hello Aunty Chris' school!
This will Chloe's school come 2010. We are very fortunate that one of our relatives own a little boutique, Montessori-styled school catered for children from 2-6 years old. There are only 12 students in the school and 3 teachers. Wonderful student teacher ratio and the kids get all the attention they need in learning phonics, counting, mathematics, Mandarin and everything else they are required to know before they start in Primary 1.
We have already started sending Chloe there on Tuesdays and Thursdays as a form trial for the last 2 months, before she starts going there from Monday to Friday, starting next Janurary. She seems to enjoy it there and even tries to show off to us the new Mandarin songs she learns in school. The best part of Chloe going to this school is that she will be under Aunty Chris' guidence and care. At the end of the day, we know that Chloe is good hands.

our little "Dracula"

To date, Chelsey has 4 little teeth. 2 on the top and 2 at the bottom. But the top teeth are not the centre ones but the ones at the side (Lateral Incisor). This makes her look like a little dracula! haha

I have been trying to take a picture of Chelsey's teeth...but always unsuccessful. It's difficult as I have to hold her down and open her mouth. In the end, I thought I shall just leave it to your imagination, but I will try again this weekend.

a-not-so-scary Halloween!!

Sitting at the bar near Aunty Bec's restaurant

Kaitlyn bringing Chloe over to the next house to get more candy

C1 waiting for the party to start at school

Little Strawberry Chloe and Racing Car driver Constantine

Chloe celebrated Halloween again this year with her pals, Kait and Kim at their condo. Decked up as a little 'devilish' strawberry, she went trick-o-treating with the Pink Princess Kaitlyn and the Bouncing Pumpkin Kimberly. The girls had a ball of a time collecting all the candy, except for a few scary costumes that kinda freaked the little girls out.
Earlier in the day, Chloe was also in the same costume when she went to school. I decided to drop her off early so that I could take some pictures of her and her classmates. But when we got there only 1 other boy was in 'costume'. Nothing scary about him either....he was a Race Car Driver! and he has one of the most distinctives name, Constantine! Yup, just like movie

Photoshoot

Recently I decided to take my girls for photoshoot. This photographer is recommended by some of my friends and I love the photos he took of their children.
I couldn't resist having my own beautiful pictures of my babies!

Sometimes I wish I could take some lovely pictures too.
