Look I can stand!

C2 pulling herself up

Our dear little Chelsey can pull herself up to a stand very easily - in her crib, playing her 'piano' or just by the sofa. This is her latest discovery but also a warning that we must always keep an eye on her.

Disney book craze

Chloe has been having a Disney book craze. This set of pre-loved books came in a little blue box which my cousins gave.
Every day for the last few weeks, Chloe will be flipping the pages of Cinderella, Dumbo, Bambi, Lady & the Tramp, Lion King or Aristocats. These are her favourite books for the moment. I reckon that it is the pictures that attract her. Sometimes I do read them to her before she sleeps but these days she prefers to do the 'reading' herself.

Happy 2nd Birthday Megan!

Chloe with Megan posing!

The girls playing with Megan's birthday present from C1 and C2

Chloe has three special friends that turned 2 last week - Alexis, Amanda and Megan. As we were invited to Amanda's and Alexis' party earlier, we were not able to attend Megan's =( but Chloe still managed to have with Megan at the playground during the same weekend.
I'm sure Chloe will miss Megan's wonderful company when she moves to the UK for more than 6 months.

Happy 2nd Birthday Amanda and Alexis

Singing the birthday song

The Mummys

We had a tea party at G's house last Friday to celebrate Amanda's and Alexis' 2nd Birthday. G's house is like a toy shop with many many toys and the girls always love to visit. There was even a balloon sculpter that entertained the kiddos tremendously with balloon butterfly wings, balloon guns, balloon animals and much more.

Thanks for organising the party again, we had heaps of fun!

Adventures of the Mouse Deer

Our tickets

Us...just before the show

On Alexis' birthday, Mavis and I decided to bring the girls to watch a play at the Esplanade, called Adventures of the Mouse Deer. This play is supposed to be catered to their age group. The actresses were very spontaneous, graceful and the girls seem to like them, except for the 'Tiger' who scared Alexis a little.

At the end of it, I was pleasantly surprised that Chloe managed to sit attentatively for the whole 45min without fidgeting.

Giggles.

Chelsey is more responsive now and enjoys playing with her sister.
The other day, Chloe amused her baby sister by crawling under the table, just like her. This really tickled Chelsey to see that her sister can crawl too. She kept giggling, but by the time I got the camera I only managed to catch the tail end of the entertainment.

It's a such delight to see that their relationship is getting better.

Dancing

Chloe loves dancing. Managed to catch a little video of her dancing outside the Esplanade the other day when we went to watch a play.
Maybe one day in the future, she will be performing there...but inside!

Cruising...

This yellow and green Little Tikes is the gift from Chesley to Chloe when she was born. While Chloe was at Ah-Ma's house yesterday, Chelsey got the chance to cruise in her sister's car. From her expression on her little face, she really enjoys cruising in it!

2 peas in a pod

C1 and C2 at Botanical Gardens

Chelsey is now 7 months and has lost her little baby face already. Don't you think Chloe and Chelsey are starting to look more alike now?

Over the long National Day weekend...

Check out the dragonfly

Hold hands and say 'Cheeezzeee'

"What's the joke?"

"I love my Mei Mei!"

"Weeeeee...!! Horsey ride"

The giant turtle, can you see it?

"Mummy, I want more bread to feed the fish"

Watching the elephants bathe

We had a park-filled weekend. The girls visited Jacob Ballas on Friday, the Zoo on Saturday, West Coast Park on Sunday and Botanical Gardens on Monday.
The highlights of outings were:
  1. Jacob Ballas: Caught a dragonfly and Chloe touched it. No fear at all!
  2. The Zoo: Watching the elephants bathe and feeding them
  3. West Coast Park: Flying our trusty orange kite
  4. Botanical Gardens: Feeding the fishes, swans and the humongous turtle
Every time we make a trip to any of the parks, there never fails to be a tiny adventure or something new we get to see. I truly enjoy these moments and I hope the girls can one day look back and somewhat remember them.

Family picture

This post is almost a month overdue... but better late than never.

We celebrated Ah-Ma's 60th Birthday at En Japanese Dining at King's Arcade. We managed to book the whole restaurant to cater to all of Ah-Ma's close family members and friends. Food was fabulous! We had loads of sashimi, sushi, wagyu beef and endless supply of other yummy food.

At the end, some of us over-ate, a few of us over-drank and best of all, all of us thoroughly enjoyed the simple get together.

Happy 60th Birthday again!
