Chelsey is 21 months!

Our little Angel - Pretty in Pink!
C2 giving her BIG SMILE =)
Chelsey turned 21 months earlier this month.

She is a little smaller than other kiddos her age (20th percentile) and that makes her a little more extra special in a way that she needs to be 'protected' more. But, I still try to love both my girls the same amount, not that anyone can actually measure it, and I want to and try practice - NO FAVOURITISM!!
( I realised that I have already blogged 3 posts on Chloe (its her birthday month too) and none about Chelsey so this post will be a little longer to make up for it.)

Actually, I do not have any exciting or big news about our little C2 except that she is perfectly healthy, smiley, interactive and enjoys all the little things little girls like - stuffed toys, swimming, everything pink or purple, the once-a-week chocolate treat, attending school at Zesty....She is also rather advanced in her motor skills and ability to understand whatever we say or ask her to do. Even distinguishing colours!!
But, like all babies and kids, everyone develops on their own pace. For Chelsey, she is a little slower than others in her development of language skills but that's normal too coz she is not 2 yet. Her communication skills are great as she is able to express herself and tell you what she wants by pointing, screamming, nodding or shaking her head. We are trying to encourage her in expressing herself verbally and hopefully she will be able to speak more by the time she is 2.

No matter what, she IS and will always be special to us!!

The Heart Dog

Chloe received this stuff dog from her teachers for her birthday. It came as a simple white dog and 4 coloured pens. Since colouring is one of her favourite past times, she colours in a 'heart' a day.
Its been 2 weeks since her birthday and look at her doggie now...sprinkled with pink, blue, green and orange hearts, and it even has eye lashes!!

Little green fingers

The Peanut plant

The Passionfruit seedling
On weekday afternoons, Chloe spends time with Ah-Ma after school. During their time together, they do some gardening and take a look at Chloe's plants! She planted them from little seeds and now they are actually growing!!

Erm...cos if I assisted, they would have died long ago, so I'm proud of my girl with little green fingers!

Another school next year

The famous spaceship playground

One of the walkways of the school
Last weekend, we went to Maris Stella Kindergarten to pay for C1's school fees to confirm her place there next year, 2011! She will be attending the afternoon session in Bluebell class! All the classes are supposed to be named after beautiful flowers, until I found out that there was a class called Golden Shower! To make things worse, Chloe is supposed to be that class for in the morning session. Thankfully, I had to change her class to PM, phew!!!

Gawd, dunno why no one has told the nuns the other meaning of this...Maybe I should?

Chloe is 3!

The Birthday girl: Tinkerbell Chloe

How time flies! Our dear Chloe just turned 3 on Monday and we had her birthday bash at the club again over the weekend. Besides the usual balloon sculpturing, we had face and body painting plus a wonderful magic show from Uncle B! =)

I'll load up the pictures on FB for all to see once I receive them from our photographers.

For all those who came for the party, hope you had as much fun as Chloe who was totally pooped out and thank you again for all your company, well wishes, love, presents and ang baos!
The Thank you card which I made that never got printed coz our printer ran out of ink. Sigh!

Chloe's flowers

Ever since we made a trip down to the Garden Show, Chloe has been into flowers, especially Ikebana! One of the reasons is becoz Ah-Ma is really good at it.
Anyway here are some of her recent creations...she even made a hand bouquet for Alexis for her birthday lunch!!

Chelsey's school work

The theme in school now is insects. Look what little Chelsey brought home from school last week!!

Family Tree Clock

Last month a couple of us went down to Clay Cove to make our very own Family Tree Clock.
The little ones enjoyed getting like hands dirty by rolling out the clay and moulding the different shapes. I think some of the dads enjoyed it too!

Another day Botanical Gardens

C1 screaming for joy!

The playground buddies: Chloe, Megan & Lara

Big 'bro' Lucas babysitting the girls

C2 looking very pleased with herself for catching the ball

M & I decided to take the PG Playground gang to Botanical Gardens 2 weeks ago. As usual, there was the fish-tortise-swan feed at the swan lake followed by a picnic nearby filled with little children running around, chasing balls and climbing tress.

Party @ The Kid's Kampung

Chloe and Josh having a conversation on how to catch the fishes

Papa & Chloe finally caught a fish!

Check out the hungry fishes!

Uncle J with the kids - Josh, Emma & Chloe feeding the fish

We celebrated Nadia's 2nd birthday at the Kid's Kampung couple of weeks ago. The farm was really an eye opener for the girls. They loved feeding the different animals - fishes, chickens and rabbits! Not forgetting trying to catch those super-hard-to-catch fishes, even the Dads had difficulties. I think the highlight of the party was the show for "Narnia" (hee!), the ah-pek played games with white mice, hamsters and rabbits! All the kids even got a chance to touch and hold them. Eeeks!! This was really a back to basics experience that these iphone-city kids.

Thanks for the wonderful party C, the kids had a blast! =)

Another day at school

Its been 3 weeks since Chesley started going to Zesty Spot. Just like her sister, for the first few days she walked in happily as she got distracted from the bubbles and the moutain of toys. It took her around 30mins to realise that no one was around her any more and she would cry for a while. With her easty going nature, the teachers could distract her and calm her down easily.
Nowadays, she walks into class with out a tear but the crying only comes at the end of class when we pick her up. Hmm... I guess it is must be the built up of anxiety.

Swim class

Term just ended again for the girls' swim class at Marsden. Here are some pictures of them in action. Their confidence in the water has improved tremendously, especially for our little C2.
