TV addicts-to-be

Alexis came over to play with Chloe on Christmas Eve. After running around the house and playing with many many toys, Chloe insisted that she wanted to watch her favourite dvd, 'Baby Signing Times' with Alexis. From their faces, they look like they are addicted to TV!

Sunnies

Grandpa bought Chloe her first pair of pink sunnies! Our little Miss Vainpot absolutely loved it. Once we put it on for her, she kept smiling and did not want to take them off.

Pekochan!

Aunty Dawn says that Chloe looks likie Pekochan...especially in the picture (in an earlier post) when she was showing off her 'slipper socks'. What do you think?

Christmas Tree

This morning, we went down to The Verge, formally known as Tekka Mall, to pick up a Christmas tree. ***FINALLY!! *** Been wanting to go down for the last few weekends but never seem to get around doing so. Here is picture of our tree, including Chloe's little Xmas sock ornament she did in school.

Play date @ Fidgets

Chloe and Megan had a playdate last Friday at Fidgets (Turf City). Chloe's first visit and Megan's third. They spent almost 2 hours playing and running around. The girls truly enjoyed themselves especially with the Little Tikes cars.

C "heart" Socks

Aunty Wong Ping and Uncle Jeff gave these pair of socks to Chloe for her birthday. This was the first time wore them and she absolutely loved them! The vain pot did not even allow us to put on shoes for her and shouted 'NooOoo!' when we tried.

Rides..

Every weekday morning, Grandma and Grandma takes Chloe to Ghim Moh market for breakfast and to say hello to her aunties/friends. At the same time, she looks forward to sit her 20cent ride outside one of the medical halls. Now that she can walk, she will demand to go on the ride every morning.

The Flyer

We are privileged to have a couple of free tickets to the S'pore Flyer, so we decided to make a trip down last Friday. Chloe enjoyed walking around the capsule... pointing at cars and birds. You can see from her face, she was very excited.

Plus, she is little brave girl - not afraid of heights!

BuB-BLeS

Chloe looks forward to bath time in the evenings coz we blow bubbles at her just before she starts her bath. Before we even step into the bathroom, she will be shouting 'BUB-BLES'!

Arts & Craft @ School

Every Wednesday, Ah-Ma brings Chloe to Playdays for class. Chloe enjoys going to school, playing with the other kids, blowing bubbles as well as doing some art work. Check out some of her masterpieces - a spotted spider, furry duck and shinny Mary (from Mary had a little lamb)!

Words...

Chloe can say a couple of words already. Her first real word was 'ball' when she was around 10months. Over the last 4 months, her vocab has increased...with the help of flash cards too! The picture of the flash cards above shows some of the words which she can say already.

Her current 5 favourite words are:

1. 'Downnn' - ie she does not want to be carried, she wants to walk around

2. 'Gooo' - ie she want to go out, go home, go somewhere

3. 'Nooo' - she finally understands what it means but does not follow this as a command all the time

4. 'Ba-ll' - this is her all time favourite word, anything round is a ball...even oranges or street lights!

5. 'App-ple' - anything that is red or looks like an apple is an apple.

My favourite words are, of coz 'Papa' and 'Mamm-my' =)

Preggy mummies & lil' girls go swimming

Both preggy mummies decided to bring Chloe and Alexis swimming. Both girls love to swim, play in the water and the slide by the pool! Thankfully the weather last Saturday was not too sunny and yet breezy. Perfect for swimming!

Step by step

Chloe has been walking for over a month now. From 3 steps to 5 steps to more than 10 steps. Every day she is getting better and steadier. Here is a little video of her walking around her room and listening to Baby Signing Times.

Trick-or-Treat!!

We went trick-or-treating with Kaitlyn and little Kimberly at their estate this evening. The 3 little girls were all dressed up - a pumpkin (Kimmie), bumble bee (Kait)and angel! They were such sweethearts soaking in the halloween atmosphere! (Actually I think it is more of Mummy's idea for an excuse of dress up!)

to the Zoo again...

This time, we went to the Zoo with Jadyn, her parents (Hannah & Hock) and Aunty Dawn. Jadyn is such a wonderful big sister, especially in looking after Chloe. She even invited Chloe to sit in the 'tiny explorer' with her. I hope Chloe will learn from Jadyn and keep a look out for her little sister in time to come.

Swimming

We try to bring Chloe down to the pool at least once a week so that she will not be afraid of the water. Over the long weekend, Grandma and I brought her swimming and as you can see from her face, she loves the water!

Read, read, read

I try to expose Chloe to as many books as possible. Besides reading to her before she sleeps every night, I give her a book to 'entertain' herself while she is having her lunch or dinner. I hope this does not cultivate into a 'bad' manners eventually. For now, she looks like she enjoys reading.

Looking at her little library of books, there are still some missing -- Chinese story books! I should get some soon and at the same time, brush up on my Chinese.

Not sure what to get, but I hope they come with hanyu pinyin!

Hi5!

All kids love Hi5. Decided to get a DVD and test Chloe if she likes it too. YES she does! She loves it!

Happy Birthday ShirEe

Since Chloe's birthday, this is the 2nd birthday cake she has set her eyes on. Last night she wanted to help her Aunty cut the cake.

A Trip to the Zoo

We finally made a trip down to the zoo last Saturday morning. Managed to catch a show and some animals - tigers, elephants, kangaroos, etc. But, as usual, Chloe's favourite is still fish!

Thanx for the pressies!!

Chloe received so many presents for her birthday! We sat down and opened them one by one. She got excited whenever she saw a new toy or something she likes.

Chloe is ONE!!

We celebrated Chloe's Birthday at SICC Bowling Alley last Saturday (4 Oct) with family, friends and loved ones. Chloe was such a star - smiling, jabbering, laughing and socialising with everyone. This little girl knows that the party was just for her.

Made a card that was given out to every0ne that came for the party. Thanx again everyone for the wonderful company, lovely presents and generous ang baos!

Children's Day

1 Oct is Children's Day. It was also a public holiday (Hari Raya Puasa) and we had lunch at Uncle Ted and Aunty Chris' home - yummilicious popiah and prawn noodles!! Chloe enjoyed roaming freely around her home very much. Here are some pictures taken by our Superstar, Averil.

Open! Close!

DVD covers are one of Chloe's current favourite 'toys'. She loves to open it and close it. One cover can keep her occupied for at least half an hour!

Step by step

Chloe is learning to walk. Still in baby steps as she is still prefers to crawl. Here is a little video of her trying to dance and take baby steps.

Feeding fish

Eversince Chloe discovered 'fishing', she tries to 'fish' again whenever she can. At home, Papa only allows her to feed the fish.

Diaper Dance

Chloe is learning to shake her little booty when there is music playing. Managed to catch her in action just before her morning bath. Oh, she was waving a piece of tissue while dancing too.
