The other day @ West Coast Park

C1 running to the field filled with zest

"Look at the kites in the sky!"

C1 assisting Papa to assemble our new kite

Can you find our kite?

Trying to get our big kite up into the sky

Papa teaching C2 how to fly the kite

Papa bought a new kite for girls since our trusty orange one broke coz it got crushed by the car seat. This kite is much bigger than the other ones we had, plus it looks like a plane! The girls had a blast flying the kite and running around the field at West Coast Park. Will definitely make another trip there soon.

Around the house

"Pig Face!"

C2 pretending to be Minnie Mouse - Thanx for the pressie Aunty May!

Chilling by the steps

Ever since we got our new camera - Canon G11, I try to take more pictures of the girls at home, hoping to capture their many happy and cheery moments!

Over the last month we celebrated and attended a few birthday parties.
Besides the cake cutting and candle blowing, the girls enjoy collecting their goodie bags upon leaving the parties.
I just love watching their happy faces ripping open the bags filled with little treasures!

Tweedledee and Tweedledum

C2 - Tweedle Dee

C1 - Tweedle Dum

Sometimes relatives like to buy the same clothes for the sisters - ie same colour, same cut, except different size. The girls end up looking like twins except, of coz, one is taller than the other. And yes, Chelsey is begining to look more like Chloe... just like Tweedledee and Tweedledum! There is actually a nursery rhyme, with the same name that I feel represents them as sisters, and it goes like this :
Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to have a battle;
For Tweedledum said Tweedledee
Had spoiled his nice new rattle.
Just then flew down a monstrous crow,
As black as a tar-barrel;
Which frightened both the heroes so,
They quite forgot their quarrel.
Don't you think it fits them to the tee?
Especially since the little fights, screaming and bickering are becoming a common sight between the girls when they play together nowadays, but thats all part of growing up =)

Our butterfly

Our butterfly called Goldie

The orange plant which we got during Chinese New Year has been attracting caterpillars and Papa decided to collect a couple of caterpillars in a container as 'pets' to educate the girls on their life cycle, just like book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.

We fed the caterpillars daily with leaves from the orange plant and days later, some of them turned into cocoons. At this stage, the girls still don't seem interested what is going on with their 'pets' until one morning after church, we noticed the container with a beautiful butterfly in it. One of the cocoons has become a butterfly! Woohooo!! The girls got excited, screaming and jumping around, even I got excited =)

We quickly went downstairs to let our yellow-speckled butterfly free as butterflies are known to have a day to live. Now, we can't wait till the next cocoon hatches into another gorgeous butterfly!

Goodbye Little Gym...

C1 doing her bear walk

Bubbles on the tummy!

2 little monkeys hanging on the bar

For the last 6 months, we have been waking up early every Saturday morning so that Chloe can go for gym class with her pal, Emma at 815. This term, Chloe won't be going to Little Gym anymore coz she has moved up 1 level and the class schedule does not suit us anymore.

Looks like it will Chelsey's turn once she turns 18mths!

Swim class

The girls having fun on the 'magic mat'

Chloe & Emma just before class

Swim term just ended and there is no swimming lessons this week. From next week onwards, Chelsey will be starting her swimming lessons **finally!! she was on waiting list since last year**
Because her class is on Sunday afternoons, Chloe will be transferred to a Sunday class so that her class is right after Chelsey's.

This means no more class with Emma and Chloe will be having new swim coach! I'm sure Chloe will miss Coach Sam and most of all Emma in class 'monkeying' around with her on the magic mat, but we can always still go swimming at the pool downstairs our place! =)
